Overload Your Senses At MBGC Charity Art Show
“Art is the window to man’s soul. Without it, he would never be able to see beyond his immediate world; nor could the world see the man within.” – Ladybird Johnson
Art has been used to explore feelings, reconcile emotional conflicts, foster self-awareness, and increase self-esteem. Mels Bad Girls Club has found another use for this creative outlet and it’s definitely #WorthDoing. WJRR radio DJ Mel Taylor and her crew of bad girls are doing good and giving you the opportunity to envelop your senses while helping those in need at their Annual Sensory Overload Art show.
MBGC Sensory Overload Art Show #WorthDoing
The MBGC Sensory Overload Art Show has been packing the City Arts Factory venue to capacity for the last nine years, and is considered one of the most successful art shows to participate in the Third Thursday Gallery Hop. The show consists of over 75 female artists and 350 pieces of original art covering all mediums, styles, and creative levels. Mels Bad Girls Club or MBGC is a non-profit registered 501c3 focusing on helping local charities obtain funds through creative events, and fundraising. 100% of the proceeds collected from this annual art show will be donated to charity.
If you are a female artist and want to let those creative juices flow, then you can register your art to be included in the Sensory Overload Art show HERE. The deadline for submissions is May 19th. Can’t stay within the lines in a paint by number but are an ART lover at heart? Feel free to make a donation or purchase a piece of art at the show. All pieces included in the Sensory Overload Art show will be available for viewing and purchase from May 22- June 12th.
