We took a minute to meet with Mitchell in hopes to get some pointers about growing a business in Orlando.
Whats2Hot: How long has Barnes Supply been in business?
Mitchell: Barnes Supply has been around for 35 years, my family took control of the company in 1997.
Whats2Hot: What is your favorite thing about working with family?
Mitchell: My favorite aspect of "The Family Business" is the complete sense of loyalty you can only feel with family; and the fact that we all share the same goals, which is constantly insuring our company's reputation of having great customer service.
Whats2Hot: What is your favorite thing about Orlando?
Mitchell: The best aspect of Orlando is big city/small town feeling.....By this I mean Orlando is a great place to do business, grow, & prosper, but at the same time you get to do business with people you know by face. It's a great feeling to walk around town and be able to see your clients, stop in, check on them, and let them know you value there business.
Whats2Hot: What set’s Barnes Supply apart from other business (shameless plug time)?
Mitchell: Well that's an easy question, most companies have a sales rep that stops in once in a while and picks up a check, it's a job to them, . Here at Barnes Supply, our clients are more than just a job or a check, we actually care that they succeed and grow. We look at our customers as a family and as such we watch out for them as well, even if this means opening up the warehouse on a Saturday to help out one of our clients with an emergency situation. That's not something the other guys will ever do.
