Beer, beautiful women, and football. What more can you ask for? Well ask and you shall receive as the Orlando Fantasy enter their sophomore season along with the Lingerie Football League. With their home opener scheduled for an assuredly chilly Friday night, December 2nd, there should be plenty of hard...hits.

For their inaugural season, the Fantasy opened up at UCF's Arena banking on acquiring a young, student fan base. After a less than successful attendance record, the team decided to make the move to the more centralized Citrus Bowl. While moseying around the Citrus Bowl one afternoon, I got a chance to check out the new outdoor setup the Fantasy are proposing. It's almost a guaranteed improved fan experience. With more bars and standing areas located literally on the field, the newer informal setting will create more comfortable atmospere. Although the numbers last season weren't exactly what the LFL hoped for, there was still a demand for this intriguing new sport. MTV agreed and decided to sign on as the official television coverage sponsor for the LFL. To sustain viewership and increase game action, MTV decided to broadcast their own version of  highlights. A shorter rendering of the game, where hard hits, long passes, and gorgeous women aren't lacking.

Now I know what most of you are thinking; If the football is good, the girls are bad and if the girls are good, the football must be bad. In fact, it's actually quite the contrary. The LFL has implemented a unique marketing strategy, where they utilize key franchise players to promote the team not only with their play, but with their looks as well. Let me be the one to tell you, they aren't the bruisers you would typically expect. Many of them are models, dancers, and even bartenders at many local spots all over downtown Orlando. So if you see a cute bartender with a shiner or turf burn on her elbows there's a good chance she might be a linebacker in her spare time.
