Tim Berling aka Avicii (more on Avicii), the 22 year old Swedish DJ and producer, is bringing his big arena House Anthems to Orlando for one night only this Friday, January 27th. It’s not surprising that Avicii is one of the few DJ’s to book a show in the UCF Arena, seeing as his massive fan base in Florida will all be sure to make it the biggest show of the spring in Orlando. His most recent event, his NYE party in Manhattan, New York, was a record breaker with 11,000 people bringing in the new year while Avicii laid down his popular tracks such as “Le7els”, “Seek Bromance”, and “Fade into Darkness”.

This was the largest event in Manhattan’s history, and was a huge success for Avicii. On January 6th, he kicked off his new tour named House for Hunger in Detroit, Michigan. The tour is fast paced, hitting 26 cities in only 27 days, and landing in cities from Rochester, NY to Rome, Italy. There is a twist to his new tour which many of his fans are not even aware of. He has dedicated this new tour to raising money and awareness for hunger in the United States. A surprising fact that many people do not know is that 1 out of every 6 Americans suffer from hunger, and 1 out of 4 children do not get enough to food to stay healthy. Avicii and his team at At Night Management have promised to donate a million dollars from this tour to Feed America, a charity dedicated to hunger-relief in the United States.

The House for Hunger tour ends February 4th, leaving him a little over a month and a half to prepare for his March and April Festival headliner spots. Avicii is slotted to headline the Buku Music and Art Project, a new festival held in New Orleans during Mardis Gras. He is headlining the first night of the festival on March 17th alongside Wiz Khalifa and Diplo. To get more info on the event, visit thebukuproject.com. Avicii’s next stop is headlining the completely sold out Ultra Music Festival held in Miami, FL the last weekend of March. After Ultra, he takes another few weeks off and then heads to Indio, California to play the also completely sold out Coachella Music Festival both weekends in April. This is huge gig for Avicii, and is very impressive at his young age.

Friday Night, UCF Arena, Avicii, End of story. Where will you be?

Like I stated earlier, this Friday is your chance to see Avicii playing his biggest venue in Orlando to date. His set’s are always high energy, smile producing, and guaranteed to make you dance. Since 2008, Avicii has been playing unforgettable shows and he continues to go above and beyond to satisfy his fans. If you want to have an unforgettable Friday night, then you have to be at the UCF Arena. Tickets are still available through Ticketmaster at

About the author

Meg Ryan

Born and Raised in South Florida, living an active and social lifestyle comes naturally to me. Living at the beach, going out at night, and being involved in school events and sports molded me into the social butterfly I am today. When I graduated high school, I went to my first music festival, Bonnaroo in Tennessee, by myself to volunteer and start my career in that industry. After experiencing my first festival, I couldn't deny my passion for people, culture, live music, and traveling any more. Since then, I have been attending the University of Central Florida studying Event Management with hopes of one day working for a large company and orchestrating life changing events such as music festivals for the next generation. Another passion of mine that ties into all of this is of course Photography, which most of my readers already know. Capturing memories, and once in a lifetime performances by musicians is one of the best adrenaline rushes out there and I'm very lucky to have the opportunity to share my point of view with all of you. By the way, the key to my heart is vegan food. Enjoy.
