A whole bunch of Orlando craft beer establishments are participating in the festivities of Fat Tuesday tomorrow. In case you don't know, Fat Tuesday is the "last hurrah" for Catholics before Lent begins the next day on Ash Wednesday. Historically, folks would load up their pie holes with the fattiest foods they could find in preparation for the upcoming fasting that would take place during lenten season.

Located in the popular Downtown movie theater plaza (on the corner of Orange Ave and Church Street), Bento Café has been a staple dining destination since Feb 2008. “Bento” is very popular for lunch during the week and as a pre – hit the town destination on Friday and Saturday Night. We met with the manager, Tammy Laney, who has been at this Bento location since (almost) Day 1. She is awesome and is full of smiles even during a hectic lunch rush.

I didn't know what to expect when I signed up to check out White Wolf Cafe. It's on a part of town I rarely (if ever) frequent and from the outside it reminded me of one those sweet restaurants on Food Network. I was armed with a $20.00 gift card I picked up for $10.00 on Drinkbin.com and after checking out the website a buddy and I decided to nurse our heads after our Saturday festivities. What we got was some of the best ----- breakfast I have had in Orlando.

Frank & Steins seemed like a pretty obvious name to me. Franks are a delicious meaty (ususally boring) treat and Steins are large drinking vessels. When rumor started to buzz around Orlando about this place, needless to say, my interest was peaked.

Pine 22 is a gourmet burger restaurant located Downtown (Orlando) on Pine St ( close to the orange ave intersection). This review came from necessity. I have never eaten a turkey burger this good.So good I came back... and back again. The variety of toppings, buns, burger meats, and sides are just enough to let you have a new burger experience each time you come or provide that perfect combination you may never change. They boast " we have over 322,000 ways to make your burger" on their Facebook page and that is just insane.
