Backbooth Hosts Riff Raff on Friday the 13th

Break out from the mundane activities of Friday the 13th. Coming up at least once per calendar year, today is a day that’s filled with superstition, horror, and other crazy antics—none of which matters that much in the grand scheme of things. Do something meaningful with your precious Friday night by gathering with friends both old and new to take in rap stylings deep into the night. Riff Raff will play at Orlando’s Backbooth Bar beginning at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Tickets cost $20, which is a small price to pay for an intense night of entertainment from a nationally-known talent.

Riff Raff hails from Houston, Texas, and has become a world-renowned rap artist since his emergence over a decade ago. A talent that spans various mediums, he’s not only appeared on stages, but on television shows and the silver screen. Some of his top songs include “Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz,” “DOLCE & GABBANA,” “How To Be The Man,” and “Larry Bird.”

Backbooth has been a downtown Orlando institution since relocating from near the University of Central Florida in 2000. The building it currently calls home was a former beatnik coffee house, giving it just the right ambiance. With room for up to 350 revelers, it’s large enough to be comfortable, but still maintains its unique charm of being an intimate conduit between artist and audience. The club boasts a cutting-edge sound system, interactive lighting, and vintage English décor. Some upcoming acts include JK the Reaper on Saturday, January 14, Koffin Kats on Friday, January 20, and Lacey Strum on Saturday, January 21. Whether there’s live entertainment or not, Backbooth is the perfect place for dancing, drinking, and hanging out. So, while everyone else is getting scared on Friday the 13th, you can dance the night away.
